Our philosophy with ACT tutoring is that each student is unique. We will experiment with test-taking techniques to find the ones that work best for your student. We believe that improvement comes through practice, so your student will have homework (generally 1 to 3 hours between each session). Since the ACT is a content-based test, we typically focus on content your student has seen before but has forgotten. We have found that scores generally increase the most when we help students remember the material they have already learned. As time allows, we will introduce new content to students, but only after they master the content they learned once at school.
Most students meet with us once per week for 10-12 weeks, allowing for an occasional week off. We recommend you view the calendar to choose dates prior to the ACT exam.
Money back guarantee: Your student will have a higher composite score on the post-test than the pre-test (full ACT practice tests administered by Rogers Tutoring). ACT preparation includes the 4 areas of the standardized test: English, Mathematics, Reading and Science. It does not include the Writing portion (which is not included in the ACT composite score). The student must complete all homework assigned and attend all 10 sessions. Sessions are scheduled at a mutually agreed upon time, and may be rescheduled with a 24 hour notice. If the student does not receive a higher composite score, you are eligible for a full refund of the $599.
